The first week of practices are the perfect space and time to build a Champion Culture within your team.  A Champion Culture requires trust and rapport between the coaches and girls, the coaches with other coaches, and the girls with other girls.  A Champion Culture is earned moment by moment.  It is in the small details of your practice where we bring our true self.  It invites authenticity and openness for every person to feel valued, connected, and empowered. In this episode of IGNITE, we will explore the various ways to build trust and rapport within your team for the foundation of your Champion Culture.

Girls on the Run Serving Greater Kansas City officially kicked off the fall season with two Season Kickoff sessions on Thursday, September 10 and Saturday, September 12.

Girls on the Run Kansas City simply wouldn’t be possible without our coaches.

Season after season, you show up with your time, energy, encouragement and enthusiasm to create a space where girls can build confidence, strengthen connections and discover just how much they’re capable of. On Saturday, August 15, members of the Girls on the Run Greater Kansas City community joined participants from across Kansas City at CPKC Stadium for a morning focused on something that can make a life-changing difference: knowing how to respond in an emergency.

It’s an accomplishment that reflects an extraordinary level of commitment from the chapter and its members — but its impact goes far beyond the dollars raised.

At Girls on the Run Greater Kansas City, our work extends far beyond program sites. Throughout the fall, our team will be out in the community connecting with families, schools, volunteers, partners, and supporters who help make our mission possible. Whether we're providing resources at a school event, meeting future volunteers, or building relationships with community partners, every conversation helps us reach more girls and ensure they have access to life-changing programming.
