Girls on the Run Hosts Camp GOTR in North Kansas City with Special KC Current Appearance 

Kansas City, MO — Girls on the Run Serving Greater Kansas City is excited to announce Camp GOTR, generously sponsored by the KC Current, taking place June 15–18 at the North Kansas City Parks & Recreation Center. 

This engaging camp offers girls of all abilities a one-of-a-kind opportunity to build confidence, strengthen relationships, and develop important life skills in a fun and supportive environment. 

Girls on the Run Serving Greater Kansas City is excited to bring back Camp GOTR for summer 2026! The organization first hosted Camp in 2020 and 2021 as a way to connect with girls and coaches when schools were closed. Five years later, the need for connection remains strong. Camp GOTR provides a special opportunity to spend a week focused on empowerment, building new friendships, and enjoying all the fun activities that summer brings. 

“Camp GOTR is such a special opportunity for our participants to build confidence, create meaningful connections, and just have fun being themselves,” said Victoria Wymer, COO of Girls on the Run Serving Greater Kansas City. “We’re especially excited to partner with the KC Current to bring even more inspiration and energy to this experience for our girls.”  

A highlight of the camp will be a special visit from KC Current team members on June 18 at 10 a.m., offering an exciting and inspiring experience that reinforces teamwork, perseverance, and confidence. 

Girls on the Run is dedicated to inspiring young people to recognize their inner strength and make meaningful connections with others.
